GVMD began when a small group of local students noticed that owners of smaller boats often had to choose between expensive full-service yards and doing every job themselves. They set out to create a more approachable option: skilled mobile detailing that meets customers where their boats already are.

The team learned by working hands-on with marine finishes, testing processes carefully, and treating every boat as a chance to earn the next referral. Today, the same idea guides the business—show up prepared, explain the work clearly, and leave the finish better than you found it.
